1. The first layer of the tabernacle is called the tabernacle and the second layer is called the tent.
2. 10 curtains for the first layer. This is human completion and perfection. 12 is perfection in the divine administration. 11 curtains is for the second layer.
3. The number 11 is sinfulness.
4. The 11 curtains of goats' hair signify that Christ was made sin for us.
5. 30 = 5 * 6 (responsibility for sinners)= 3 * 10 (resurrection life in human completion). 6 is the number of sinners.
6. 50 clasps signify joining power.
7. Rams are males and signify Christ as a strong man.
8. The first layer signifies the perfect man, Jesus; the second layer signifies Christ as our substitute; the third layer, redemption.
9. As the rams' skins, Christ enables us to stand before God, but as the porpoise skins He enables us to stand against Satan and all his attacks.
10. The first layer of fine linen is from the plant life; whereas the goats, the rams, and the porpoises are all animals.
