Isa Msg 21

Truth:
1. The second part (Ch. 40 to 66) begins with a word of comfort spoken to the heart of Jerusalem. The fact that this word is spoken to the heart means that it is concerned with NOT with the outer man but with the inner man. The speaking of the word of comfort to the heart of Jerusalem is actually the announcing of the gospel.
2. Immediately after the coming of John the Baptist is the appearing of Christ as the glory of Jehovah (v.5). The glory of Jehovah is the center of the gospel for the new creation.
3. The word of God is actually Christ as the gospel of God.

Life experience/Application:
1. Many times I become weary at work. "Jehovah empowers those who are weary." Lord, empower me as I become weary at work.
2. "All men are as nothing before God; they are accounted as less than nothing and vanity." Lord, grant me such a view so I can forget about Arena.
3. Lord, teach me to "stop myself with my living, doing, and activity and receive Christ as my replacement." May I experience "the resurrection power, be transformed, and soar in the heavens."
