1. The principle of life is dependence, whereas the principle of knowledge is independence.
2. The law has three functions: a) It portrays and defines God, b) It exposes us, c) It subdues us.
3. God does not want a people who strive to keep the law; He wants a glowing people to express His glory.
4. The law is spiritual, holy, just, and good.
5. The law results in life, but it cannot give life by itself.
6. "Law, I wish to thank you for exposing me and subduing me and bringing me to the One who can give me life. I wish to thank you for leading me to the Life-giver."
7. Whenever believers neglect their union with Christ and turn to the law and strive to keep it, they cut themselves off from Christ and from grace.
